I am now working on a new 11-page report

The new report is on the topic of time management.

I will be offering this first to the warriors as a WSO (warrior special offer). Not sure yet on the pricing. The report is valued at $17. I will probably offer it to the warriors for $9.95 and then release it to the public in January at the $17 price.

The report is all content, no graphics. I am working on the sales page, thank you and download page as well as the copy for the WSO today.

I had Tracy Yates do my formatting and she did a fabulous job. I will be using her again for future projects.

The Time management WSO will be released soon. The title is:

Upcoming Internet Marketing PLR Package WSO

****EDIT**** I decided to offer the Internet Marketing Package to the War Room free of charge instead of doing it as a WSO.

I was told that it could take as long as a MONTH before my post was active in the war room of the warriorforum.com site. A month!!!!

At the present time my writing efforts are focused on writing a PLR Package designed for the WarriorForum Special Offer Forum. The package will be on the topic of Internet marketing and contain a combination of content including PLR articles. The writing is coming along and I should have the WSO ready by this weekend. There won't be much time to write today because of my daughter's IEP meeting with the school this afternoon and Thanksgiving is tomorrow but I am not concerned. The WSO will be ready to launch within a few days.

I really need this WSO to do well. My daughter has two Cleveland Clinic appointments coming up and the trip to the clinic costs a lot in gas and my car needs another tire and an oil change. Normally these expenses would not be a big deal but with the economy the way it is and with my husband's income half of what it usually is my writing income is needed for our everyday expenses.

My daughters are growing like weeds and my youngest informs me that she needs another pair of jeans as the one she wears most often is very worn..YIKES..two almost holes in the buttocks area LOL.

This WSO has to be a success!

Could use some positive vibes from my readers please.

Sold My First Domain

Friday night I was paid for my first domain sale. I sold the domain PLRcontentNOW.com for $150.00 (USD). I used forum signature marketing only, to sell this domain. My life has been consumed lately with medical appointments for my daughter, and driving my youngest to school and volleyball practices/games etc. that my online business time has been very limited since August. My limited business time is the only reason I did not use other marketing tactics or put the domain up for sale using the auction method. This is why I was shocked when I sold the domain for what many have said is a very good price.

My unexpected success has led me to believe that I could be successful using my writing skills to monetize Websites and sell not only the domains but the complete package. I have some ebooks and courses already on my computer regarding selling domains and websites so I will spend this coming week doing some much needed research into the possibilities of using this avenue for generating much needed steady income for my family. Writing articles has not produced the income we need due to the fact that it is so time-consuming and the pay is not enough for the time I put into writing them (especially for Demand Studios). I am excited by the possibilities that have been uncovered in my recent success and look forward to what lies ahead.

I will post the results I achieve and how I combine my love of writing with selling domains and websites.

Thank you for reading.

AC Experiment

I have been conducting an experiment with Associated Content. I have been a content producer for a few years now and have noticed that lately it has been very difficult to get articles accepted for upfront payment. I am experimenting with different ways to increase my odds of getting approval.

Last week I went through my account and pulled out all the comments from editors that were in the form of advice or tips. I spent all last week following them and still kept getting a "canned message" after each submission that said basically my articles were not different enough from what was already available on the web and that was the reasons for the declines. I published each article so that they would qualify for monthly PV payment (pay for views). I have been doing well with getting lots of page views. I figure if I really increase the number of quality articles I have on AC, my monthly PV payments will increase too.

This week I am only writing assignment articles to see if those get approved or declined. I claimed 4 assignments and only one is upfront payment but very low (just a little over two dollars). Certainly a writer cannot live on such a low offering of pay.

I will post my experiment results here on this blog for anyone interested to read.

New published article

Received word today that I am officially a Demands Studio writer. My article about objectives for business plans was accepted. The writing assignments involve a lot of research and they are sticklers for proper grammar so I anticipate a lot of rewrites until I can wrap my brain around all of the guidelines, rules and regulations. This should be a great opportunity for me to sharpen my art and so I welcome the challenges, frustrating as they may be at times :)

I continue to write for Associated Content as I have for the past few years. It is less stressful for me because they love my writing style and I rarely get rejects when writing for them. They are good for my ego LOL.

Other than writing for the above sites, my business hours are spent learning more about SEO (search engine optimization) and how implementing these techniques can help my sites reach higher rankings with Google and Yahoo.

I have decided to sell my PLRcontentNOW domain and several of my other domain names and sites as I have become quite burned out writing PLR content (been doing it for 3 years now). I will no longer be writing as a ghostwriter but instead work on my own products using my writing to promote my sites.

Family Drama Leads to Writing Inspiration

We have all heard the saying...when life hands you lemons, make lemonade? Well my personal life has been very "lemony" lately. Seventeen days after the surgery I posted about in the previous blog entry, my husband ended up in an emergency surgery for an "incisional hernia". The repair of the previously botched surgery resulted in his small intestines pushing through the incision and ending up laying on top of his abdominal muscles...ouch! He now has a open wound of 21cm X 15cm and 2 cms deep. Guess how is doing the nursing care? Yup after 4 years of separation he is back in our lives while he recuperates and I do 3 wound dressing/packing changes every day plus give him his meds and take him to his many medical and depression appointments. This of course on top of all that is necessary for my lovely daughter who is also seeing many doctors for her cerebral palsy, behavioral issues (social phobia and adjustment disorder). Life is full of drama, surprises and unexpected events. All of these experiences both the negative and positive inspire my writing.

One of the main reasons I write is to express what it is like to be a wife and mom so that perhaps others can relate and feel that they are not alone in the "dragons they slay" as they journey along similar paths. My husband has generously supported us financially for most of this current 4 year separation as he struggles to gain control over his depression. Now he finds himself without an income since July 21, 2009 putting our family among the so many others struggling to make ends meet. My writing career is at a pivotal change going from working with clients to creating a site that will allow me to write more freely and hopefully more fruitfully regarding meeting our income needs. Timing stinks though giving how our main income source - my husband's taxi cab earnings are now non-existant. I firmly believe that God knows the big picture and my family will manage. In the meantime we are all learning a great deal about compassion and patience. I have gleaned from this experience so far an excellent copy for my soon to be released Warrior Forum WSO based around helping others to make PLR lemonade.

I will keep my readers up to date on the progress of the release of this WSO. It was slated for release 4 weeks ago and the unfortunate surgical events have postponed that release as I have had to fall back on my nursing skills from my Naval days to care for my husband and help him through this most trying time. All I need do now is some editing and write the final sales copy. Stay tuned for the WSO announcement!

Family and Writing

Like so many "working individuals" there are times when family and your "job or career" tend to butt heads so to speak. Last week was one of THOSE times for me. I have two special needs family members. I love them both dearly but they are what most may term as being "high maintenance". I prefer to explain them as being "challenging" not only in the sense that they have many challenges to overcome and/or learn to deal with as they face what those without physical/mental/emotional challenges take for granted but also in the sense that I find that the manner in which I handle them is very challenging. This is no more evident than when my special needs daughter has grown into a teen. She like many others who have waded through the teen years has discovered that she is confused by her need to be independent when she still desires to enjoy the protection of home and parent. My husband on the other hand had major abdominal surgery and then during the first 6 days following discharge from the hospital found himself in the emergency room twice. Needless to say the occurrence of a crisis with my daughter's mental health on Sunday night/Monday morning resulting in a 2 1/2 hour appointment on Monday that had to be managed alongside two other medical appointments and her therapeutic riding lesson all on the same day as well as dealing with my husband's surgery the very next day resulted in two lost work days back-to-back. Two lost work days in one week when I am trying to launch my PLRcontentNOW.com membership left me feeling very frustrated, and torn between the need to be there for those I love and the need to be diligent in working my writing business because the income from that business is what feeds, clothes and provides shelter for us. Can you feel my "being torn between two opposing yet intertwined needs"?

I know that it does not matter what walk of life we are on, we all feel torn or pulled in different directions from time to time. Those of us who have been blessed with these very unique and totally awesome special family members perhaps experience these times more often than those who can only read about what it is like to have such truly amazing members. Words are not adequate to describe how I am feeling right now. My faith in God has always sustained me and lifted me up in times such as these and I know that I will look back on these days sometime in the near future and see God's footprints carrying me and for this I am grateful and yes, the knowledge brings me comfort.

Thank you dear readers for your support and for taking the time to read my blog. Until next time...may your days be filled with happiness and wonderful adventures!

We are in our new home YEAH

We moved on the 26th a day earlier than we anticipated. I was of course not finished packing yet but my brother insisted that we move a day early to prevent my Dad from doing too much. We loaded up the trailer and headed to our new home. We ended up breaking 3 items when they fell off the trailer :(

I also left my spice drawer behind and I cannot find my angel plaque that I always kept by the front door. I collect angels so this is distressing. Other than breaking those items and missing my plaque the move went smoothly and we are all very happy with our new home.

Unfortunately two days before the move, my main client decided he did not require my services anymore. I guess 1,500 reviews are enough for him for now. I am scrambling to replace that income. I have 3 projects that I am currently working on. I am selling several of my domain names on Ebay, I have a gift basket blog that I am creating and I am writing a Ebook.

You can track my progress here or on my Website

Today is July 4th., so happy Independence Day to everyone! Happy Birthday America!

Moving

Moving is never an easy task to do for a family. When there is only one adult living in the family all of the main tasks fall upon that person and for my family that person is me. It does not really matter how busy the rest of my life is for the next two weeks packing and getting my family ready to move has to take front seat. As a writer this is frustrating because if I do not spend all my waking hours writing for my clients we do not have the income necessary to pay bills, eat etc.

Our move date was originally set for July 11th. I thought I had four weeks yet to pack and get ready for the move. Yesterday, the date was moved up to June 27th. YIKES!

I am presently trying to work out a schedule for the next 14 days so that I can complete my writing assignments and get all my packing and other moving tasks done all at the same time; not an easy feat to contemplate, and surely a difficult task to actually accomplish!

I have been researching the Internet in hopes of finding a guide that will help me to be more organized in this move and perhaps save me time? I ended up taking bits and pieces from one Website and another and adding my own ideas to formulate a five-page guide that includes what to do week-by-week for eight weeks prior to a move date. I plan on adding my input after we move and then perhaps turning it into a report that I can then sell online. LOL, then perhaps my time moving could actually turn into a writing income source!

To All My Readers:

Thank you for spending time on my blog. I appreciate your taking the time out of your day to see what I am up to in my writing career.

Have a blessed and safe weekend everyone. You all know what I will be doing, right?

PACKING!

LOL

Smile

Spring is in the air and spirits are lighter. There have been some improvements in my writing career that have brought a smile to my face again.

I started a Website PLRcontentNOW.com so that clients can find me online and order original content from me.

A membership has also been started using getresponse.com titled self-improvement stretch. The next topic will be on internet marketing so stay tuned.

Recently, I was hired to write internet marketing reviews starting Monday April 27th which will be a regular writing gig. I am happy that I will again have weekly income on a regular basis.

Hope the readers of my blog also have a reason to smile!

Changes

My writing career has gone through a major change recently. This change was engineered by the failure of my main client's membership site. She ultimately canceled both of her membership sites and therefore had no more need for my 200 articles I had been writing for her every month for the past 14 months. I had been working for her in total 28 months, so she has been a big part of my online writing career and income.

Last Sunday I turned in my last articles to her and wished her well. For a few days there was this huge void in my life. Thankfully my Federal Tax Refund hit my bank account the following Friday and so my little family has several weeks of funds to use for our basic needs. These funds should tide us over nicely until I can again generate income through my writing efforts.

I have several writing projects that I am working on as I have decided to not write for clients as a ghostwriter but to instead do my own writing projects.

My first writing project is a self-improvement membership.

This membership will go live the week of February 23, 2009. Visitors arriving at my Website Self-Improvement-Stretch.com will view my sales page and hopefully opt-in to the email delivery system.

Subscribers will receive a 40 page report titled: The Self-Improvement Stretch. They will also receive two bonus reports. Each week afterwords they will receive by email autoresponder a self-improvement article (tip). Occasionally I will send additional reports. I also intend to interview self-improvement experts and sent the transcripts out to the subscribers of my self-improvement stretch membership.

There is a blog for this project and you can read the blog by going to The Self-Improvement-Stretch Blog

My second writing project is a Website where I will make PLR article bundles available for purchase as well as PLR reports and Ebooks. The Website is PLRcontentNOW.com

Change is often scary, but in life, change can also initiate important growth and provide the opportunity for wonderful adventures. Change can also lead to new discoveries and change can even bring about unexpected surprises.

I am looking forward to what this change will bring me and how my writing career responds to the challenges facing me because of this recent change.

Change is good.
